A new two-year contract with the Belmond-Klemme support staff was reached during the first negotiation session with school officials May 9. The district and the staff settled on a $1 hourly raise for bus drivers and a 50¢ hourly increase for all other employees.
There were no other changes in the contract language. The proposed agreement was approved by the school board May 18.
